The immediate vacancy is located In Manoa to Kahala with the Department of Health.
Rotating Shift Work: All applicants must be available to work rotating shifts, including evening, weekends, and holidays.
The starting monthly salary is at the minimum rate of pay advertised above.
As a condition of employment with the State of Hawaii some positions may require that all qualified external candidates who have been given a conditional offer of employment to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination and shall be fully vaccinated by his/her/their employment start date. A reasonable accommodation will be provided if requested by a candidate and it is determined through an interactive process that pregnancy, a qualifying disability, or a sincerely held religious belief prevents the candidate from receiving a COVID-19 vaccination.
Duties Summary
Performs simple and routine tasks relating to the care of patients or residents; provides related services required for the operations of the facility; participates in a planned training program and performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
To qualify, applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
Experience: No experience required for the Level I position.
Applicants must possess knowledge of the general principles of personal hygiene and bodily care, and housekeeping; and the ability to follow oral and written instructions precisely; get along well with others; acquire and demonstrate an attitude of respect toward patients with a variety of disabilities; retain emotional stability despite emotional and physical pressures; develop an appreciation of nursing and medical ethics.
Substitution Allowed: Relevant substitutions as described in the Minimum Qualification Requirements, will apply.
Driver’s License: Some positions require possession of a valid driver’s license at the time of appointment. An immediate position with the Department of Health has this requirement.
