The Division of Mental Health is seeking to hire an Office Assistant for the Chicago-Read Mental Health Center located in Chicago, Illinois to perform various difficult and responsible clerical functions including keyboarding, record keeping and general office support functions. Serves as receptionist and timekeeper. Serves as contact for unit staff regarding equipment malfunctions or replacements.

Orders all supplies, reviews current inventory of supply requisitions, including forms, general office supplies and central supply.
Serves as contact for unit staff regarding equipment malfunctions or replacements.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
1. Requires the ability to utilize office equipment, including personal computers.
2. Requires ability to pass the IDHS background check.
3. Requires ability to pass a drug screen for drugs prohibited from recreational use under Illinois Law.
4. Requires ability to meet all agency vaccine/health-related policies and guidance.
Work Hours: Mon-Fri, 7:00am – 3:00pm
