About the Job:
You will be responsible for the administration of Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) and Real-Time Automated Personnel Identification System (RAPIDS) issuing ID cards and Common Access Cards (CAC) and inputting dependents into the systems for TRICARE eligibility and military benefits. Also responsible for Military Passport Photos.
A Day in the Life:
The essential functions of this roles are as follows:
Verification of eligibility for Soldiers, Contractors, State employees, Department of Defense employees receiving CACs;
Verification of eligibility for dependents of Soldiers, printing and documenting dependent ID cards;
Solving problems with Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC), project office, DEERS, RAPIDS, Veterans Affairs, and Tricare;
Reviews and processes documentation from potentially eligible dependents, verifying accuracy and dependency, and processing for final action;
Monitors and answers phone calls/emails/voicemails pertaining to all DEERS/RAPIDS, and Military Passport Photos questions;
Establishes and maintains e-case files for ongoing cases needing processed above the current site operator capabilities;
May operate automated office equipment (computer, software, scanner, printer, photography equipment etc.) as needed to complete job assignments;
Maintains liaison with other DEERS/RAPIDS sites and agency offices for data/information sharing purposes;
Processing requests from other agencies for historical records; answers phone calls and emails

What You’ll Need for Success:
High School Diploma or High School Equivalent (HSE).
Ability to obtain a secret security clearance through National Agency Check (NAC).
Knowledge and skill typically acquired through an Baccalaureate degree plus related work experience, related academic training plus comparable work experience or comparable work experience alone may substitute for a Baccalaureate degree when appropriate.
Working knowledge of computer data systems and the ability to use personal computer and various software programs.
Specialized knowledge of military policies and procedures such as promotion, extension, retirement, health benefit eligibility, activation, mobilization, Title 10, Title 5, Active Guard Reserve status, 100% disable veteran.
Ability to recognize deficiencies, inaccuracies, or discrepancies in documentation.
Ability to organize and prioritize work.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to interpret and apply state and federal laws, rules and regulations and procedures governing program areas.
Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:
This role may serve as a team lead for an assigned work group.
