Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Five years of experience in the maintenance, programming and repair of electronic election equipment.
Substitutions
Training in the maintenance, programming and repair of electronic election equipment will substitute for one year of the required experience on a month for month basis.
Necessary Special Requirement
Certification on the AVC Advantage and the AVC Edge voting machines.

Manages staff activities associated with pre-election and post-election activities, including transfer of ballot information, final checking and sealing of machines, and transportation of equipment for a region of elections districts.
Train managers and review the performance of audits on the record of elections, seal numbers, public and protective count numbers, and the vote update report following each election cycle.
Determines and organizes strategic placement, within the region, of personnel trained in electronic and/or mechanical election equipment to diagnose, repair and report problems on Election Day.
Assists in training design and coordinates the instruction of election district staff, clerks and registrars regarding software updates, procedures and software applications for all voting machines as they relate to laws, regulations, and results reporting.
Works with the Election Program Managers and Administrators to create proficient acceptance testing procedures for all voting equipment.
Conducts management inventory for all election forms.
Conducts and/or oversees the technical research, investigations, and statistical analysis of election processes to provide recommendations for legislation or election reform.
Provides technical assistance and interpretation of election laws and procedures.
Assists in the direction and administration of all elections programming, testing procedures for voting equipment, the transmission of results, and the daily operations of field personnel for an assigned region.
Reviews audits conducted regarding the record of elections, seal numbers, public and protective count numbers, and the vote update report following each election cycle.
Researches information on number of registered voters in each precinct in a district and determines allocations of electronic and/or mechanical election equipment necessary to successfully conduct elections.
Develops an inventory plan and manages the warehousing, availability, and distribution of electronic and/or mechanical parts, components, and supplies for a region.
Analyzes the results of acceptance tests performed on election equipment and makes final determination on acceptance of the equipment.
Oversees activities performed by lower level personnel including programming and refurbishing election equipment.
Ensures agency compliance with Title 18, the Louisiana Election Code.
Re-tabulates all election equipment trouble calls filed on Election day and analyses information to determine the causes of malfunctions.
Directs release of election equipment following official notification and confirms all regions have completed the release.
Monitors post-election logic and accuracy tests and analyzes results.
Maintains records of notice of all elections and various ballots used in each parish within the region.
