We are looking for a professional who thrives in a team environment, yet works well independently, to support the Department of Health and Human Service’s mission to promote health and safety for all Maine people.
What can you expect to do as our Complaint Intake team member?
You will be entering information into ALMS, ASPEN, and iQIES databases, information from complaints made to DLC.
These complaints allege problems at any of the thousands of nursing homes, assisted living and residential care facilities, hospices, hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers, home health agencies, behavioral health agencies and other type of providers throughout Maine.
You will have daily contact with clients, customers, providers, and the public to collect information about consumer complaints and incidents reported by facilities.
You will also assist with other administrative duties as requested, including but not limited to mail sorting and distribution, and cash management
Your role is vital to DLC meeting its operating standards for complaint investigations, and it works across multiple units to ensure accurate and timely complaint entry for all types of licensed providers
Minimum Qualifications:
Training, education, or experience in office and administrative support work that demonstrates: 1) competency in applying a solid knowledge of modern office practices to perform complex, varied, office support tasks; and 2) the ability to use independent decision-making regarding the appropriate processes to follow, information to process, and actions to take in accordance with standard procedures. No licenses or certifications are required for this position.
Preferred candidates will ALSO have:
Experience with Outlook applications.
Experience with Excel or comparable spreadsheet applications.
Experience with MS Word or comparable word processing applications.
Experience working as a positive, effective member of a team.
