This position serves as an Office Director for the Children’s Services Administration (CSA) Child Safety and Program Compliance (CSPC) Office. This position will directly supervise statewide programs that collaborate and provide technical assistance to private agencies and residential providers. These statewide programs include the following: Residential Technical Assistance Unit (RCTAU) and the Quality Assurance and Compliance Unit (QAC). The Office Director will report directly to the CSA Director and will assist in providing direction and management of all resources and personnel activities, including budget and staffing allocations for areas within the CSPC Office. As a member of the Director’s Leadership Team, this position is responsible for assisting in the management and oversight of the strategic planning and operations of the CSA encompassing all areas of DHHS business activities in accordance with the Department’s mission, vision, goals and objectives. This position will be responsible for the administration, and oversight or performance improvement plans aimed at improving Private Agency and Residential facility performance. This position is also responsible for the coordination of public relations activities necessary to inform internal and external customers about department’s child welfare programs, activities, and plans, and to incorporate DHHS Strategic Plan into all activities. This position is responsible to Identify, implement, and foster open communications within CSA and our private agency and residential contractors. This position assists in overseeing the selection and development of their office staff and assuring periodic and continuous evaluation of their job skills and performance. Position serves as a member of the CSA management team and serves as advisor for policy and program implementation and provides direction for all matters pertaining to children’s services programs.

Required Education and Experience
Education
Possession of a bachelor’s degree in any major.
Experience
Two years of experience as a professional manager or program/staff specialist, or equivalent experience.
Alternate Education and Experience
Education level typically acquired through completion of high school and three years of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 14 level; or, two years of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 15 level, may be substituted for the education and experience requirements

Position Location/Remote Office: The office location for this position is at 235. S. Grand Ave, Lansing, MI 48933 however, this position has the ability to work hybrid (combination of remote and office).
