Description
The Health Educator supports the Division of Environmental Public Health by managing health promotion and education projects, providing coaching and recommendations to staff and technical assistance in developing and testing educational materials and in planning and implementing health promotion interventions.
This is a full-time project Health Services Consultant 3 (HSC 3) within The Center for Public Affairs (C4PA), Health Promotion and Education Section. Currently funded through March 23, 2023.
C4PA strives to advance health equity and develop communications and health promotion and Education products that meet the needs of the communities we serve.
The Health Promotion and Education section uses health promotion theory, best practice and effective communication strategies to improve health literacy and health behaviors of people in Washington. We assist the agency in strategic thinking and consistent messaging related to preventing disease, promoting a healthy start in life, making healthy choices and accessing services.
Currently, this position may be located anywhere within the State of Washington. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, telework (mobile-work) is expected. When approved to return, the incumbent will work with their supervisor to identify an appropriate work schedule and balance, including telework and reporting to the Tumwater, WA duty station for work activities.
