DSHS Food Service Worker
You’ll serve and prepare regular and therapeutic meals in a hospital setting at Eastern State Hospital (ESH), an in-patient psychiatric hospital, located in Medical Lake, Washington. We have a variety of shifts and schedules available!

Here is some of what you will do:
Prepare, dish, and serve food following therapeutic dietary guidelines, recipes, and menus
Deliver food carts with insulated food trays to the wards
Dishwashing and floor cleaning using the appropriate equipment
Clean, wash and sanitize kitchens and dining rooms
Implement and follow food safety standards
Assist in training new employees as needed
Actively work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Who we are looking for
Professionals with the following:
A current Washington State Food Worker Card or ability to obtain a Food Worker Card within 14 days of employment
Experience in applying food safety regulations
Knowledge of food safety regulations and special diet needs
Ability to prepare and serve food according to therapeutic dietary orders, recipes, and menus
Excellent customer service
