THE POSITION:
Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation (DCR)/ Denmar Correctional Facility, Pocahontas Co. – This position is responsible for all office/secretarial needs of the Security Department at Denmar Correctional Center. The incumbent is required to answer and forward incoming calls as appropriate; maintain facility Key Watch System with regard to access codes to keys; maintain office supplies for Security; type up all Security documents and memos; request NCIC background checks inmate visitors and contract employees; track list of individuals barred from the facility; enter visitation applications for visitation or church into the OIS System. This position will also be backup for the Control Room as needed as well as for the Superintendent’s Secretary, as needed. Performs related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications
Training:
Graduation from a standard high school or the equivalent.
Experience:
Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in routine office work.
Substitution: College hours, related business school, or vocational training may be substituted through an established formula for the required experience.
