Static Media Hiring for Freelance Talent Acquisition Specialist at Remote Full Time

Static Media is looking for enthusiastic, hard-working freelance Talent Acquisition Specialists to join our recruiting team. The recruiting team helps discover and recruit talented freelance writers to create content for Static’s 14 brands. Our portfolio includes: Looper, Nicki Swift, /Film, Glam, Grunge, Mashed, The List, SVG, SlashGear, Health Digest, House Digest, Tasting Table, Wrestling Inc., and The Daily Meal.

We are looking for creative, self-sufficient individuals who can continue growing our brands. This position is work-from-home with flexible, stable hours. Location does not matter.

Talent Acquisition Specialist Responsibilities:

• Discover, screen, and help hire new editorial talent through independent research and outreach
• Develop a complete understanding of our publishing standards and processes in order to source and communicate with qualified candidates
• Help improve efficiency in talent acquisition
• Work with the Hiring Manager to assist in other recruiting efforts as needed
• Compensation: $21 per hour
• Minimum commitment: 20 hours per week

Ideal candidates will have:

• At least 1 year of professional writing or editing experience or 1 year of recruiting experience
• An ability to evaluate the accuracy, clarity, and quality of candidates’ writing samples
• Familiarity with LinkedIn and the internet in general
• Self-motivation and a willingness to engage via email and over the phone with potential candidates
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong time management skills

Experience:

At least 1 year of professional writing or editing experience or 1 year of recruiting experience
