We are looking for a right-hand employee to control and perform the financial operations of our company. The ideal candidate will have extensive management experience and practical experience in accounting and financial reporting. This position requires flexibility and credibility; we need a hard-working person who is comfortable getting their feet wet and wearing multiple hats. The Controller will be providing the Senior Management Team with financial reports, cost analysis data, and suitable recommendations and commentary. Ideally this candidate will have a can-do attitude with a problem solving mind. It will be his/her job to ensure that the prepared financial statements are timely, accurate, and according to instruction.

Required:
– Master’s degree (M.A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
– Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting packages is required
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
– Superb organizational and time management skills
– Is expected to have latitude and creativity
– Possess good judgment, planning skills and leadership traits
Preferred:
– Practical training or experience in an Audit or CPA firm is beneficial
– Some supervisory experience is also preferred
– Professional certification like CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CMA (Certified Management Accountant) and CFM (Certified Financial Manager) preferred
Job Duties:
– Prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial positions in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
– Directs preparations of budgets, reviews budget proposals, and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justifications.
– Provides management with timely reviews of organization’s financial status and progress in its various programs and activities.
– Calculates monthly Incentive Compensation (Commission and Bonus) for various employees.
– Accounts for the purchase of capital assets and determines the depreciation rates to apply to each.
– Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.
– Responsible purchasing, and inventory activities.
– Oversees and manages accounting, inventory, credit, and MIS staff with assistance from the Assistant Controller.
