Stellar Group Hiring for Director of Human Resources Job at Jacksonville, FL Full Time

Responsibilities:

• Plans, directs, and supervises all activities relating to the administration and maintenance of recruiting and learning/development programs in the company. Acts as supervisor, coach, and mentor to Corporate Recruiter and HR Manager – Learning & Development
• Assists the VP of Human Resources in the daily administration of HR services as assigned, including recruitment and selection, transfers, external recruiter contract negotiation and administration, job classification, performance evaluation, and employee relations in accordance with overall objectives of the company
• Develops, prepares, generates, and analyzes ongoing and ad-hoc special reports pertaining to staffing levels, turnover, recruitment, applicant tracking, and training
• Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to supervisors (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
• Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
• Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to make sure training objectives are met
• Serves as the external cultural ambassador for potential Stellar employees at recruiting events and in the community
• Builds and maintains a strong functional team through effective recruiting, training, coaching, team building
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Basic understanding and a genuine interest in engineering, construction and/or manufacturing, particularly blue collar roles and field positions
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Thorough understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures
• Experienced in coaching and counseling employees
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and flexible environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Knowledge/experience with Predictive Index, Paycom and/or UKG a plus

• Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including employee relations, recruiting, performance management, and federal and state employment laws
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Human Resources or related job functions required
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred but not required
