Overview
We are seeking a full-time WordPress Web Developer to join our growing team! The ideal candidate is an experienced WP dev who has a passion for visually stunning and creative web design. This is an excellent role for someone who is currently freelancing but would appreciate spending more time creating amazing websites and less time hustling for new work.
Location
The developer will work on-site from our office in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Responsibilities
The Web Developer’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop new sites in WordPress, help maintain existing websites, test, troubleshoot and debug website problems
- Manage staging and production environments
- Collaborate with designers and content-creators as needed
- Assist customers with their website questions and training
- Other duties as they arise
Work Experience Requirements
- 2 Years minimum WordPress Development experience including WooCommerce
- Strong understanding of Custom Post Types & Taxonomies
- Proficient in creating and using child themes
- Highly proficient with HTML and CSS
- Understanding of PHP, JavaScript & jQuery
- Proficient with responsive development
- Proficient using a wide range of WordPress plugins and 3rd-party integrations including: Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), Cardinal Locator, The Event Calendar, Gravity Forms, and WPML
- Proficient with standard hosting environments, FTP, cPanel and mySQL
- Working understanding of DNS management
- Understanding and ability to debug websites

- Ability to collaborate with designers and create pixel-exact WordPress sites from designs (we use Figma)
- Ability to take an established design style and create new pages in that same style
- Ability to size and optimize images for web use
- Ability to work on multiple projects and adjust priorities as needed
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
