Stuteville Ford of Tahlequah is seeking an experienced Body Shop Technician to join our team! The Body Shop Technician prepares vehicles for the bodywork process, including thorough disassembly of vehicles to assess all damages, performs vehicle collision repair work as detailed by estimator based on the written estimate and meticulous assembly and attention to detail during the repair process as assigned in accordance with factory and Stuteville Ford of Tahlequah standards. Paint experience is not necessary, but is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assess the damage based on the written estimate and repair order.
• Remove the defective parts and systems in order to perform the repairs.
• Repair collision damage, complete body repairs and replace parts as directed.
• Operate all equipment in the Collision Center in a safe and productive manner, following Safety Standards for the use of personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection) when needed.
• Notifies management of any difficulties or additional damage, problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time.
• Inspect all work performed as a Quality Control (QC) measure as soon as jobs are completed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have a valid driver’s license or state-issued ID
• Ability to communicate clearly and retain directions accurately
• Must be dependable, motivated, trustworthy, and HONEST
• 1 – 2+ years automotive experience or collision body repair experience preferred
• Ability to handle the noise level in the work environment, which is usually loud
• Ability to use both hands.
• Frequently required to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, handle tools and lift up to 50 lbs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 – $23.00 per hour
