Suffolk University is pleased to announce recruitment for our Staff Psychologist/Practicum Coordinator to join a busy and dynamic Counseling Services team within an integrated college health center. The Counseling, Health & Wellness Center at Suffolk University serves a diverse population of undergraduate and graduate students. Reporting to the Associate Director/Training Director, this position provides administrative leadership of CHWs Practicum Training program, offering training in college mental health services to students in Suffolk Universitys Clinical Ph.D. program. In addition, this position serves as a core member of the supervisory training team for CHWs well-regarded APA-accredited Internship in Health Psychology. All of CHWs training programs emphasize multicultural counseling skills and offer specific training in concepts such as identity-development, impact of oppression, inclusive healing practices, and related interpersonal skills for counselors. As a member of the Counseling Services team, the Staff Psychologist/Practicum Coordinator also provides short-term counseling services to Suffolk students, serves as a member of the Counselor-on-Call rotation, and provides outreach and education to the campus community regarding student mental health needs.
As an integrated center, CHW maintains a holistic and interdisciplinary approach to student care. CHW staff value inclusive and identity-affirming treatment approaches and participate in routine professional development related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. CHW offers a collaborative and supportive working environment within a dynamic and exciting higher education institution.
Successful candidates will bring a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as the application of social justice and antiracist concepts in clinical and higher education settings. Candidates should also have developed experience and skills in multicultural counseling approaches, self-awareness and reflection, and the ability to engage in difficult dialogues. Experience working in higher education settings and with demonstrated interest and experience providing clinical supervision are required. Candidates licensed 2 years prior to hire are preferred in order to support the operations of CHWs Internship program.

Additional Information
This is a 12 month, full-time salaried position. Periodically, due to crisis/clinical emergency or an occasional evening program, psychologists may be asked to work beyond regularly scheduled hours.
