Details:
- Send out clean claims on a monthly and as needed basis in a timely manner
- Accurately read and post incoming payments from payers
- Monitor unpaid claims – making phone calls and written appeals as necessary
- Track common claims errors and create solutions
- Create and maintain relationships with nursing facility billing departments and MCO claims representatives
- Audit patient files as needed for accuracy in billing
- Work with Accounts Payable department to send pass through payments to nursing facilities
- Problem solving
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with EMR/Medical Billing software
- Competency using computers (i.e. web portals, downloading, uploading, scanning, etc.)
- Experience with MS Word and Excel
- High attention to detail
- Problem Solving
- Accounting mindset
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment
- Previous experience in home health care or hospice preferred
