Role Summary: We are seeking a Logistics Manager to streamline our logistics operations. This role is dedicated to the movement of delicate products from factories to distribution centers, 3 PLS, or contract manufacturers. As such, it spans both the operations team and the production team. This position is vital to ensuring that our goods are transported in a timely, compliant, and cost-effective manner across all international markets.

Responsibilities

• Global Coordination: Manage the pick-up and delivery of cargo from various U.S. and international locations, ensuring prompt arrival at destination.
• Documentation Oversight: Prepare and manage all necessary documentation for imports and exports, including commercial invoices, while ensuring adherence to U.S. regulations and compliance with relevant government agencies.
• Shipment Monitoring: Oversee the routing of all inbound and outbound shipments, sending pre-alerts to destination offices and agents, and tracking shipment progress to provide status updates to key stakeholders.
• Vendor & Customs Coordination: Collaborate closely with a network of vendors, shippers, customs brokers, and freight forwarders to ensure the smooth handling of all shipments. This includes managing customs clearance and ensuring compliance with all relevant operational standards.
• Efficiency & Cost Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs across our logistics network.
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with essential logistics partners, including carriers, truckers, and terminal operators, to ensure high levels of service and operational fluidity.
• Sustainability: Balance a focus on fast delivery with attention to reduction of carbon footprint, by consolidating shipments, choosing sea over air shipping, choosing alternative fuel truck options, and increasing efficiency when and where possible.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in logistics management, with a focus on import/export operations.
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. and international shipping regulations and documentation.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with logistics systems and shipping documentation processes.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of vendors, customs brokers, and freight forwarders.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage the global movement of goods efficiently.
