Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The Swope Leadership Team is seeking an Executive Vice President of Behavioral Health. Professional candidate is the senior leader for all behavioral health services provided through Swope Health (SH) facilities. This position is responsible for ensuring that the mission and goals of the SH organization are realized through successful and effective delivery of behavioral health services to all SH patients.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
1. Lead and direct the development and implementation of quality services, programs and initiatives which ensure that the delivery of all behavioral health care: a. meets the needs and satisfaction of all SH patients b. meets or exceeds both organizational and professional standards c. meets the needs of the SH organization d. meets the requirements of the State or Missouri’s Department of Mental Health e. meets the requirements of the various funders of the BH services provided
2. Ensure all staff members are properly credentialed, qualified, directed, and motivated to provide SHS patients high quality services and care.
3. Ensure the Behavioral Health Services organization meets or exceeds all governmental, regulatory and accreditation standards in all areas of day to day operations, including administration, record keeping, scheduling, billing and related matters.
4. Identify, develop and pursue collaborative opportunities that support and/or improve outcomes for affiliates.
5. Foster a workplace that results in the development of a high performing team of professionals and staff. Recruit, develop and inspire a highly effective team. Ensure that all staff are properly coached and directed, and that clearly defined measurements of performance and rewards are utilized to enhance individual and organizational effectiveness.
6. Develop and execute BH budget to meet organizational goals.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
1. Advanced degree in business, public health, healthcare administration or related field of study preferred.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Ability to lead the establishment in implementing strategies, tactics, standards and goals.
2. Ability to build business relationships and strategic partnerships.
3. Must demonstrate a strong business acumen as well as expert knowledge in behavioral health sciences.
4. Analyze, synthesize and communicate complex data, clinical information, business needs and related issues in an accurate, objective and straightforward manner.
5. Demonstrate a high level of problem solving skill. Demonstrate the ability to make critical case management decisions supported by substantial financial analysis, clinical knowledge, and critical data based decision making.
6. Provide personal direction, leadership and coaching to the staff. Effectively manage conflict, promote change and growth, and inspire the development of a highly effective team of professionals
7. Demonstrate interpersonal savvy and influence skills in all dealings with the media, government entities, financial community, regulatory entities and related concerns.
8. Ability to recruit, develop and direct a high performing team.
