Full Job Description:

Fiber Optic splicer for OSP installations

Must be able to provide a high-quality product to meet customer needs

Job tasks include splicing, testing, light cable pulling and potential aerial work.

Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in fusion splicing, OTDR testing, power meter testing, prepping splice enclosures/terminations and troubleshooting fiber optic networks.

Must be organized and capable of providing accurate daily work sheets using internal customized program.

Must be willing to travel.

Must be fit for duty and physically capable for medium duty lifting, cable pulling, and ladder climbing.

Must be able to work in all season weather conditions. Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Capable to clearly communicate with customers and co-workers to ensure a safe and efficient work environment while adhering to project schedules

Pay:

Tier I: 1-3 years of experience = $16hr – $20hr

Tier II: 3+ years of experience = $21hr – $26hr

Schedule:

8-10 hour shift

Day shift

Mon-Thursday (Potential Fridays)

Scheduled On call

Supplemental Pay:

Yearly Bonus pay

100% (Required)

Requirements:

-Must be at least 21 years old, have a valid US driver’s license with a clean driving record (no accidents in 3 years, no DUI in 5 years), and pass a drug and background screen. Pass pre-employment background check, MVR check, DOT physical exam.
