RUBBER COMPOUNDING MILL SUMMARY

Understand all aspects of Millathane rubber production.

RUBBER COMPOUNDING MILL ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Position forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, and transport load to designated area.
• Unload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting device.
• Operate Millathane processing machine; check weights, temperatures, flow rates, and pressures on all components.
• Correctly pack and label Millathane products with correct lot numbers and Mooney viscosities.
• Start-up procedure to run the banbury. Understand the pressures and temperatures as well as amperage and flow of the material within.
• Operate and safely run the rubber mills.
• Assist in the operation of T-9 equipment as needed.
• Maintain batch sheets, log books, or other records as required.
• Regulate and observe flow of material when operating the Thanecure wet, dry grinder.
• Operator must be able to read, understand and follow Quality System Procedures.
• Operator should be trained or have knowledge on the basic chemical operations, like the weighing and mixing of ingredients.

Requirements:

RUBBER COMPOUNDING MILL SAFETY TRAINING To perform this job successfully, an individual must complete and maintain Safety Training according to the Safety Training Matrix.

RUBBER COMPOUNDING MILL QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. RUBBER COMPOUNDING MILL EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have one year experience as a Production Operator, Class II. Forklift experience preferred.

RUBBER COMPOUNDING MILL LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-onone and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

RUBBER COMPOUNDING MILL MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

RUBBER COMPOUNDING MILL REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
