We are looking for a Human Resources Assistant superstar to join our team. This exciting and challenging opportunity is for the organized individual with superb communication skills and that will provide support and assistance to the Human Resources Manager. Attributes of a Strong Candidate:

• Bachelor’s college degree, or like experience
• Proven experience as a large-team people manager partnering with an HR department in a wide breadth of HR, Payroll, Benefits, and government agency scenarios and interactions, or an HR Assistant, Staff Assistant, or relevant human resources/administrative position.
• High-level personal integrity, professionalism, discernment, and confidentiality
• Excellent computer skills (MS Office suite, in particular)
• Hands-on experience with Paylocity application a plus
• Basic knowledge of labor laws
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Strong communications skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties.
• Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources Manager
• Conduct initial orientation for newly hired employees and complete onboarding process.
• Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)
• Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc.)
• Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc.) and take minutes.
• Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations, benefits, retirement, and all other inquiries.
• Assist in semi-monthly payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc.)
• Participate in the quarterly and annual payroll and benefits related reports and audits.
• Responsible for child support and Civil garnishments, responding to Unemployment Claim notices, and Worker’s Comp Claims.
• Communicate medical benefit open enrollment and respond to employee inquiries.
• Communicate with public services when necessary.
• Properly handle complaints and grievance procedures.
