We’re hiring an HR Operations Manager to strengthen our HR systems and compliance efforts as we grow. Reporting into our HR Director, this is an opportunity to be a go-to expert on all benefits and payroll related matters and to create a best-in-class HR operations functionality that aligns and builds upon established policies and programs. Above all, you’ll be responsible for ensuring all team members have an experience that is representative of our mission and core values.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the administration of all HRIS functions, data tracking, reporting and auditing for accuracy
• Coordinate LOA administration (paid family leave, disability, FMLA)
• Develop and manage benefit (health and welfare and retirement) plan design, strategy and administration
• Oversee annual benefits open enrollment
• Manage the immigration process for current or incoming hire.
• Oversee and enhance filing systems
• Partner closely with finance to ensure payroll for employees are processed on time and accurately every time
• Process employee life cycle HR system data transactions for a specific group and/or function to include but not limited to new hire, employee changes, payroll, and separations.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of HR programs, plans, policies, and processes, payroll, and HR systems
• Meet and exceed performance and service level metrics for timeliness, accuracy, and customer service
• Complete special projects as assigned

Desired Competencies:

• Organized & Detail-Oriented – Data entry significant part of this role. You double and triple check information as you enter it and you have superior documentation skills
• Analytical – Data & excel are your friends; In fact, you’ve never met an excel formula you didn’t like
• Resourceful – If you don’t have the answer, you figure it out. You’re comfortable with ambiguity and problem-solving on your own
• Professionalism – You have a high level of integrity and are able to manage highly sensitive and confidential communications with discretion
• Finally, you’re team-oriented and want to understand + drive the larger People team strategy

Qualifications:

• HRIS System knowledge (ADP Workforce Now preferred) and proven experience with administration and system set-up
• Experience in health benefits, PTO and LOA management
• Experience administering 401K benefits, including 5500 and audits
• Excellent computer skills, including thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, databases, and advanced spreadsheet skills
• Bachelor’s degree or HR certification preferred
• Travel to NYC when needed
• Nice to haves: experience with CA employment law
