We are seeking an HR Manager to join our team. We are looking for an experienced professional with a combination of trajectory in consumer goods, payroll, labor relations, recruitment and managing regulations & taxes. The position will be full-time in our Whiting, VT office with occasional travel to other VT locations.
Primary Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
· Responsible for the payroll in US and other locations including general ledger account reconciliations for earnings, taxes, benefits, deductions, etc.
· Manage employee relations: scheduling meetings, resolving grievances, training, coaching, discipline employees and counseling
· Maintain and enhance employee benefits programs, including compensation, health insurance, expenses, vacation, and others
· Leads recruitment efforts, and employees induction, orientation and training programs
· Ensure compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable HR federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, and maintaining records for legal purposes.
· Identify and recommend improvements to internal operating procedures, including team restructuring and performance management
· Build strong relations with external partners, including Payroll, benefits providers, surveys, etc.
· Performs other job-related duties as required
Requirements:
· Bachelor’ Degree in Human Resources, Administration or related business field. Professional HR certification preferred.
· 5+ years’ experience in a human resources leading role position
· Comprehensive understanding of payroll, local, state and federal employment laws
· Knowledge of Paylocity, Novatime, ADP and other payroll/HR software preferred
· Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills
· Demonstrated ability to improve employee morale and conflict resolution
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications necessary, especially Excel
· Multi-site business experience preferred
· Strong analytical, technical skills and ability to link information together
· Ability to work flexible hours as needed. Good organizational skills
· Ability to handle confidential information
· Ability to positively and comfortably handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
