Fresh opening for an Auto Body Technician for the Taylor Automotive Family. We are looking for applicants who have experience in collision repair; it is not a training position. If you are an Auto Body Technician with 6+ years of Auto Body Shop and Collision Shop experience with a great, positive attitude, we want to talk to you.
Auto Body Technician – Job Description:
- Pre-Op & Repair Planning: Approaches repair planning with a sense of urgency and detail to avoid waste and rework later in the process.
- De-trims and disassembles vehicles. Performs pre-pulls to make repair vs. replace decisions.
- Parts Procurement: Identify and source parts as necessary. Use good judgment to decide when damaged parts can be safely repaired for cost and cycle-time savings.
- Maintain parts/materials carts in an organized manner.
- Vehicle Repair: Meet or exceed our requirements for productivity as measured by hours per day for each repair order. Utilize technical information sheet attached to the work order for all structural repairs, replacement, airbag and mechanical work.
- Safe & Organized Workplace: Utilize all required safety equipment. Participate in monthly safety meetings. Keep personal work area organized. Return tools and equipment promptly.
Auto Body Technician – Requirements:
- Use of frame and measuring equipment per vendor procedures
- Minimum- 6 years’ experience!
- Frame Experience a plus!
- Must maintain a valid state driver’s license
- GM and ICAR Certification a PLUS!
- Reliable attendance required
