IT Project Coordinator/Implementation (MUST be local)

Project Coordination

Coordinate multiple projects which involve new installations, migration, renovation, and upgrades of enterprise network implementations. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Coordinate the planning and the day-to-day execution of multiple network infrastructure (structured cable) projects on a national scale.
• Manage project execution to ensure adherence to schedule, scope and established processes and standards
• Monitor, track and manage project tasks, timelines, attainment of established milestones and overall quality of project activities and deliverables.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and report/escalate to project lead and management as needed.
• Coordinate resources and establish material delivery schedules to ensure deadlines are consistently met.
• Design site-specific layouts for technicians to identify scope of work, convey customer expectations, and reduce time on site (MS Visio).
• Attend weekly meetings with key project stakeholders including other trade vendors, project managers, and executive staff to communicate the overall progress of all projects.
• May provide technical input into development of business cases and technology estimates
• Acts as the point of contact for customer – Facilitate communication and escalation procedures between customer and technician. Proactively communicate with customers on the status of their service issues and requests.
• Conducts standard request for proposals from our network of contractors
• On-boarding new contractors as needed
• Perform quality assurance functions such as validating on-site tech photos to ensure completed work matches customer expectation for all design and construction requirements
• Provide technical support to Sales & Service Departments

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio.
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to manage simultaneous projects in fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and competing customer requests based on urgency/priority within established timelines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

The ideal candidate will also possess the following skills: Proven working experience in the Information Technology or Telecommunication sector. Preference will be given to candidates having experience with Structured Cable installation (Cat5e, CaT5E, Cat6, Cat6+, Wireless, fiber optic) a PLUS.

• Above average experience and knowledge of MS Excel
• Deadline focused.
• A strong customer service focus
• Knowledge of basic carrier/ISP services (circuit installation, broadband, DSL, etc.)
• Has general knowledge of all disciplines of construction and can read/understand architectural drawings
• Practical understanding of common technical telecommunications concepts, transit types, practices, procedures, and protocols such as VoIP, MPLS, POTS lines, TDM, SIP, fax/e-fax services, IVRs, etc.
• Technological background to assist our customer in the areas of: LAN (Local Area Network), Cisco Routing/Switching technology, and TCP/IP suite
• Troubleshooting over the phone to assist on-site technicians
• Team focused.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
