The HR Associate provides support in the administrative aspects of multiple human resources programs and activities for a defined employee group. The selected candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of tasks while working independently. Outstanding organization skills, attention-to-detail, and a process improvement mindset are also critical to this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the HR Generalist with running Corporate Payroll, executing employee changes, and act as backup
Prepare and participate in Payroll Audits and support other Corporate audits; monitor the HR Forms box
Support the onboarding of new employees and transferees with activities such as creating new hire packs, processing new hire paperwork (I9 etc.), ensuring availability of ID badges, creating employee files, conducting orientations, and assigning relevant TU trainings (emergency preparedness etc.)
Support the offboarding and transfer of employees with activities such as sending employee files, moving employee files to the term section and archiving employee files
Manage the Leave of Absence Process
Manage Corporate Contractors
Manage accurate records and record retention for all department documents, including weekly filing, regular file audits, archiving, retrieval and destruction of records as necessary
Manage the Corporate HR Calendar & Mailbox, coordinate with HRBPs and HR Generalist on all communications from the Corporate HR mailbox
Support the Corporate HR team with regular office tasks (i.e. office mail, invoicing, expense reporting, meeting logistics etc.), with the smooth running of the summer internship program, and with regular reporting
Create and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all critical processes
Identify and implement improvement opportunities across HR processes
Assist with special projects and department objectives and initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned
Protect and maintain the privacy of employee personnel records including, but not limited to, personal and compensation information about employees
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Minimum of a High School diploma
Higher education degree in related field preferred
Demonstrated professional experience in an administrative or human resources role
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
Organized with the ability to prioritize and multitask
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communications skills, including interpersonal and writing skills
Ability to build effective relationships and provide superior customer service
Strong process improvement mindset with the ability to streamline processes, drive results, and present findings to management
Proficient in Microsoft Office
