The middle school language arts position is one of 3 teachers on our middle school language arts team. The position teaches one section of each 6, 7, and 8th grade language arts for 90 minutes each day. The middle school language arts teacher also is part of a collaborative middle school department which includes 16 teachers of all middle school courses.
Job Responsibilities:
- Planning and implementing lessons in alignment with the Archdiocesan curriculum and the rigor of the assigned learning group.
- Efficient and effective assessing of students and evaluation of data for use in guiding instruction.
- Positive and affirming collaboration with students and faculty members.
- Duties may include homeroom assignment, recess, lunch, or other daily or weekly responsibilities.
- Ongoing professional development related to subject area in addition to catechesis
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree minimum – Master’s preferred
- Prior teaching experience preferred
- MSDE Certified
