As regional and community leaders in the treatment of attachment and trauma, we have a shared interest in studies, training, and research in the fields of attachment and trauma. We apply integrative treatment options tailored to meet the specific needs of each child, adult, and family.
Position description: This position supports a large, dynamic outpatient mental health practice through collaboration with all parties (clients, therapists, billing specialist) to ensure timely and accurate billing and collections. Position requires attention to detail, data entry, and an ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Compensation: $18 to $22, based on experience
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Obtains third party insurance verifications (BCBS NE/IA, Medicare, etc.), entering authorizations as needed.
Inputs client and insurance data into automated systems and produces reports as required.
Submits claims via paper and electronic methods.
Codes and posts client payments.
Copies Explanation of Benefits for any secondary insurance billings.
Processes client statements, makes corrections, if needed.
Processes fee adjustments such as unbilled/held, write-offs, and rebills.
Assists with researching and resolving claim denials.
Corresponds with clinicians, clients, office administrator and/or billing specialist to resolve billing questions.
Completes additional reports and projects as deemed necessary.
Attends relevant trainings with insurance companies.
Demonstrates a courteous and caring attitude; cooperates and collaborates with all points of contact.
Abides by all ATCN procedures, policies, and requirements.
Creates, maintains, and shares, as appropriate, a dynamic self-care plan.
Essential functions of this job are to be performed on company physical work site.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Two years medical billing and coding experience
Two years insurance verification experience
Working knowledge of outpatient behavioral health billing preferred
