The Burlington School is seeking a full-time Upper School English teacher for the 2022-23 school year. This position will require the teaching of Honors English 10, Honors English 11, and an elective. As part of our school’s mission to develop the whole child, this position also involves serving as an advisor to a small group of students in order to develop social-emotional skills. Other duties include traveling with a student group during a fall class trip, planning a week of experiential learning for a small group in May, sponsoring student clubs and helping facilitate community within the school.
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required, while a Master’s degree and/or teaching license is preferred.
