Position Summary: The Assistant Account Executive is responsible for assisting in communications between The Carter Malone Group ( public relations, marketing, advertising, and government relations agency), the media, clients, and the community at large.Essential Job Requirements: Essential functions are listed in order of importance. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Writes and distributes news releases, media pitches, social media posts, and blog posts regarding CMG clients’ news and events Plans arranges and organizes interviews to promote CMG clients Respond to requests for information from the media or designate another appropriate spokesperson or information source.Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, the media, and the community Work with the creative team to create advertisements and promotions for clients Monitors and documents media coverage and maintains media archives Establishes and maintains productive working relationships with media representatives Continually seeks out new media channels and opportunities Response to media requests for information or interviews promptly Assists with copy editing, speeches, and letters for the organization as requestedManages social media for multiple clientsQualifications: Education: o Bachelors Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, and English Experience: o Work experience: 1-2 years of relevant work experience Skills: o Computing: Proficient in Microsoft Officeo Oral and written communicationo Exceptional customer serviceo Practice discretion and confidentiality Key Competencies: o Organization and strategic planningo Strong communication and creative writing skillso Problem analysis and problem-solving skillso Practice discretion and confidentiality Problem analysis and problem-solving skillso Judgment and decision-making abilityo Initiative and flexibilityo Confidentialityo Attention to detail and accuracyEnvironmental Conditions and Physical Demands: Employee must have use of a safe, fully functioning personal vehicle. Well-lighted, heated, and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation. An employee spends extended lengths sitting and working at a computer.
