REPORTS TO: MAYOR/A&P COMMISSION
POSITION SUMMARY:
The A&P Administrative Assistant is a supportive position designated under the administrative department at City Hall. The role of this position is to assist the Advertising and Promotion Commission in their administrative tasks that may occur on a daily basis. The A&P Administrative Assistant must maintain a high level of professionalism while carrying out their duties because they are a representative of the City of Monticello. This position will be expected to promote tourism and maintain the Monticello Tourism website. The A&P Administrative Assistant will be expected to attend all commission meetings and provide a monthly report.

TRAVEL:
Travel is primarily local during the business day. May require some weekend travel at times.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in both an indoor administrative setting and outside weather conditions, including temperature extremes, during day shifts. Individual may be exposed to outside weather on a year round basis.
Employee will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism while interacting with the public, outside industries, and internal employees. Employee is expected to dress professionally during the course of accomplishing their duties in accordance with the City of Monticello personnel policies.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, hear, stand for long periods of time, walk, use hands and fingers to feel, handle, or operate objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste and smell.
The employee must frequently lift or move up to ten (10) pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50+ pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
