We are looking for an experienced Pricing Manager to join our team in City of Industry, CA.
Job Purpose
The Pricing Manager is responsible for the quotes team, pricing clerk and business analyst. Generate valuable proposals and presentations and develop pricing strategies to drive revenue growth for sales team. Primary area of responsibilities are Hawaii, Guam & Alaska. Create pricing sheets and maintain files for 3PL (COI), DOM freight (rail/LTL/FTL), Air/ INTL and PR.
Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversees quotes department to ensure quotes are being completed in timely manner
• Develop processes for quoting various types of business such as: Oversize, overweight, specialty equipment and FCL. Quotes team to follow up on quotes and drive for results. Terms and conditions for each proposal type to be in line with our normal service offerings
• Manage and develop KPI expectations for quotes team. Response time, win rate, revenue and margin. Create an approval process for quotes below acceptable margins
• Oversees proposals clerk and business analyst –
• Proposal Clerk-assists pricing manager with pricing requests such as proposals, bids, projects and responsible for generating rate sheets and quote support
• Tracks and monitors proposal requests in Cargowise
• Works with sales team on obtaining clarification and/or questions from proposal requests
• Works with pricing manager to generate rate sheets for sales team
• Uploads and update information in Cargowise when rate sheet is signed
• Updates autorating in Cargowise
• Provides support to quotes team
• Provides support for any additional tasks that may come up

• Business Analyst-produce weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports for sales team, AMC team, customers, and executive management team.
• Responsibilities include: Produces weekly, monthly, quarterly reports to all levels of management as well as customers
• Review, analyze and evaluate various systems data to formulate and identify trends
• Understand and communicate the financial and operational impact of any changes to upper management while using analytics to support recommendations
• Analyze reports from various systems: Cargowise, excel and client reports
• Works with several colleagues including business development department, marketing team, managers, executive team and account management center.
• Process and reply to email communication in timely manner
• Produce proficient presentations for business development team and quarterly business reviews to account management team
• Proficiency in collecting, analyzing, and presenting information in a meaningful way to a variety of audiences
• Produces daily and monthly quotes feedback report
• Review all proposals submitted by sales team for validity and profitability for prospective and existing customers

• Develop pricing tariffs based on key data drivers for quick pricing turn around. Anticipated cubes/weight/ linear feet, freight class(es), or multiple client codes required for pricing and proper client pricing set-up for auto-cost and rating. Include small parcel/ LCL/FCL.
• Create a formal complex response for in depth RFP/RFQ’s which can be submitted timely.
• Develop and manage CORE LCL tradelane analytics (by Island) to assist with proposal and quick turnaround. Include hazardous, WB/EB & interisland.
• Develop and manage terms and conditions for each type of quote. Consider hazardous/ small parcel/ FCL/Specialty equipment (temp control/ flat rack/ oversize/ RORO opportunities.
• Develop and manage pricing worksheet or checklist for what is needed to provide proposals for various opportunities and drive compliance with sales work centers
• Works with proposals clerk with generating rate sheets and presentations for sales team.
• Prepare and present recommendations to upper management for updates to current pricing for existing and potential customers. Specifically, for opportunities which are outside of our normal material and information flow.
• Identify and evaluate opportunities to drive revenue to reflect a competitive position and value generated. Seek out options to marry multiple opportunities.
• Monitor accounts for performance and provide suggested pricing for account margin improvement.
• Manage all pricing changes- GRI updates in the system, fuel changes, FCL tariffs/ filings (after we gain client approval), new charges low sulfur fuel (LSS) and any others which may arise. Work collaboratively with sales and operations to properly and timely implement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a pricing role
• Bachelor’s degree
• Ability to handle multiple requests simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with high degree of flexibility required
• Ability to work with demanding deadlines
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment to achieve results
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, and Excel
