At The Goddard School of Waukee, we are serious about Early Childhood Education. We hire educated and experienced staff who appreciate and understand child development and how children’s brains work. Currently, we are seeking to fill two positions: A Teacher and an Assistant. Hours would be full-time . We have a benefit package that includes health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, short term disability and paid time off for full-time employees.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Participate in staff and training meetings.
• Interact with the children to support play, exploration, and learning.
• Communicate appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff.
• Strive to build teamwork. Support and positive and therapeutic work environment.
• Be responsible for ensuring compliance with Goddard’s industry-leading Quality Assurance standards.
• Plan innovative and fun lesson plans using a standardized curriculum.
• Utilize our assessment tools for formal and informal assessment.
• Create a positive learning environment in your classroom where children develop a lifelong love of learning.

COVID-19 considerations:
All parents are required to wear a mask at pick up and drop off. Vaccinated teachers are able to decide if they wish to wear one or not. Temps are check daily to avoid spread of illness.
