POSITION: Development Accountant
Position Type
This role is considered entry-level and is perfect for a recent college graduate.
This is an exempt full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, but may require additional work outside of these hours due to emergencies or unexpected events. Schedule flexibility is required. Ability to travel locally for meetings is required. Long distance travel may be up to 5% of work schedule, mostly day travel, but some overnight as well.
Position Summary
Under the guidance of the Vice President of Finance, the Development Accountant is responsible for working collaboratively with the Development division in preparing accurate and timely construction payment request draws to lenders, housing authorities, equity providers, and other funding sources. The Draw Analyst will work closely with the Construction team to ensure Construction Payment Requisitions are accurate prior to preparing the monthly owner draws. This position will also track and apply draw funding, monitor, and report on budget variances, and prepare monthly financial reports. This position is responsible for reconciling monthly draws to financials for the Senior Accountant to review and publish to internal and external parties.
The Development Accountant is a critical part of the team and as such the ideal candidate is dynamic, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and demonstrates strong initiative, possesses an ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders, and has proven capabilities in multi-tasking, problem-solving and prioritizing workloads.

The position must facilitate positive relationships with other Integral departments, outside agencies, and the community to ensure successful project coordination. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily.

Qualifications
Associate’s degree or equivalent, preferably in accounting, finance, business administration or real estate, or comparable finance experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is preferred
1-3 years in real estate industry preferred
