We have an immediate need for a Telecom Department Manager responsible for Telecom outside plant engineering and project management functions.

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced, ambitious and entrepreneurial Telecom industry professional to drive LiRo Engineering sales efforts in the fiber industry (i.e., private/public enterprise customers, telco carriers, utilities, venues and campus environments). This position requires a keen understanding of small cell technologies, fiber infrastructure and dark fiber applications. A demonstrated ability to succeed in an autonomous environment is key to this role.

Responsibilities

• Organize and manage team of OSP Engineers on fiber projects by product line to assure on-time delivery metrics and financial targets are achieved
• Understand technical aspects of LiRo’s telecom services and engage customers in a consultative approach by having a deep understanding of the work, processes, and industry trends
• Develop accurate and timely forecasts of workload and new business
• Work collaboratively with LiRo’s Marketing Team to lead the effort in responding to RFPs and presenting proposals to customers
• Present large opportunities requiring investment to LiRo leadership; conduct associated financial modeling and assessment of growth opportunities, risks and operational requirements
• Strategically generate leads, identify, qualify and secure opportunities to generate new revenue opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related degree
• 12+ years of experience in Telecom Engineering including business development or related role within telecommunications industry
• Demonstrated experience with Telecom OSP/ISP fiber infrastructure
• Demonstrated experience with small cells, macro towers, fiber front/back-haul and/or neutral host networks a plus
• Proven track record of successful accomplishment with high volume project/program management
• Strong financial acumen to think strategically while also operating tactically
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
