The Lumistella Company is looking for a knowledgeable Web Designer to join our team! The Web Designer is responsible for executing digital web initiatives that enhance the online experience of The Lumistella Company’s house of brands, with a focus on web content design and management of our ~19 Global Brand, Corporate and Ecommerce Websites, as well as International and Retail Marketing support. The Web Designer is dynamic, energetic, and enthusiastic about all things digital, comfortable wearing multiple hats, and flexible with shifting demands and managing time, all the while ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and producing high-quality design solutions that meet both internal creative standards and specific business goals related to each creative project.

The ideal Web Designer will bring:
• Five (5) to Seven (7) years of digital / web design experience, with ecommerce experience a plus;
• Knowledge of and experience with technologies used in the development of website customer experiences commonly referred to as ‘website front end’, with WordPress CMS (Content Management System) experience a plus;
• Intermediate knowledge of HTML5/CSS3 and the ability to understand and use proper web standards preferred to help make informed decisions with direction development team. Bootstrap understanding is a plus;
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe XD on the Mac is required, and proficiency in other Adobe creative suite programs such as illustrator is a plus;
• Exceptional design skills with an eye for consistency, detail orientated, and an overall thoughtfulness to the UX/UI (User Experience/User Interface);
• Experience with responsive / adaptive design and/or mobile web best practices;
• Quick learner with a proactive approach to problem solving;
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
• Excellent organization, prioritization, and strong time management skills with accountability for meeting deadlines;
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook;
• Team-oriented, dedicated, inquisitive, self-motivated and collaborative;
• Understanding of how browsers impact design renderings;
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously under pressure and meet deadlines.
Essential Job Functions and Duties of the Web Designer
• Create and execute thoughtful design concepts and production ready assets based on marketing goals, best practices, analytics and research. Maintaining visual hierarchy, promoting usability and adhering to brand continuity for initiatives including responsive informational and ecommerce websites, landing pages, and in some cases, web and mobile applications;
• Gain Digital Media Manager’s feedback and input on project graphics in order to maintain a congruent digital look and feel;
• Create UI (user interface) mockups/wireframes, user flows, and functional specs so designs maximize usability and performance;
• Manage content publishing via WordPress CMS (Content Management System) and Shopify Ecommerce platform, while coordinating with Front/Back-end web developers to address project needs;
• Adhere to a creative delivery schedule to align with important launch dates for web projects;
• Review and report on basic analytics related to the primary areas of focus;
• Protect company assets through the proper management of asset files and adherence to company policy with regard to information security and management.
Education requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Web Design or related field required.
Working Conditions:
1. Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like.
2. Requires sitting for extended periods of time, standing, visual acumen, and manual dexterity for working with computer keyboards.
3. Position requires presence in the office consistent with the company’s Work from Home policy and whenever necessary to fulfill the functions of the role
