The team is responsible for providing leadership and direction in the planning and implementation of quality integrated human resources programs for a staff of over 2,500. The Talent Acquisition team is responsible for attracting and converting talented professionals into qualified candidates for roles throughout Manhattan, Staten Island and the Bronx. The Talent Acquisition Partner plays a key role in collaborating with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to perform efficient full life cycle recruitment including strategy formulation, job description creation, marketing positions, sourcing, selecting and onboarding successful candidates. Key Responsibilities Reporting to the Associate Director of Talent Acquisition, the Talent Acquisition Partner: * Collaborates with HR partners and Hiring Managers to develop and execute on recruiting strategies to meet workforce needs * Cultivates relationships with diverse networks to develop pipelines for top talent * Screen candidates for experience and compatibility through resume reviews, skills assessments, and remote/ in-person interviews * Guides managers through the candidate selection process, identifying essential skills and helping managers assess candidate compatibility * Communicates with candidates throughout process to articulate NYPL vision, answer questions and negotiate job offers * Develops strategies to build and share the NYPL employer brand both digitally and in person * Cultivates relationships with outside partners to create candidate pipelines for challenging roles * Maintains relationships with internal candidates and managers in order to foster internal mobility * Educates business leaders on effective team building, candidate engagement and interview techniques and provides tools to support interview committees * Collaborates with HR teams to develop job descriptions and determine compensation for new roles * Develops reports for recruiting activities and insightful analysis to identify opportunities for improvement * Leads relevant special projects as needed Required Education, Experience & Skills Required Education & Experience * Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field * 4+ years of high volume recruitment experience while providing excellent customer and candidate service Required Skills Demonstrated knowledge in full lifecycle recruiting in a high-volume environment, including successfully sourcing diverse range of applicants, interviewing, selection, and salary negotiation * Innovative and proactive approach to developing recruitment strategies * Proven ability to source passive candidates and identify talent pipelines * Experience building employer brand through online presence, network outreach and marketing materials * Demonstrated creativity and ability to develop positive candidate engagement practices * Track record of providing excellent client and candidate service * Superior communication skills a must to interact with managers and candidates at all levels * Experience leading projects and delivering on time-sensitive outcomes * Strong time management skills required * Proven analytical skills and the ability to effectively utilize resources to resolve problems * Experience leveraging online recruiting resources to identify, recruit and network for candidates (eg. professional networking sites, social media, job boards, resume databases) * Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, Google applications, LinkedIn, and other data management systems * Proficiency with a Recruitment Management Systems Preferred Qualifications Preferred Qualifications * Experience using PinPoint or similar ATS preferred * Experience using Workday HCM preferred * Knowledge of federal and local employment laws and best practices preferred More. Please Note: Effective August 2, 2021, absent a qualifying exception for medical or religious reasons, newly hired employees of the New York Public Library must present proof of receipt of a COVID-19 vaccination and may not begin employment at the Library until 14 days after their receipt of their second dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines or 14 days after their first dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
