The NYC Montessori Charter School Hiring for ENL Teacher Job at Bronx, NY Full Time

The New York City Montessori Charter School is in a period of expansion. We are a progressive K-5 public charter school located in the South Bronx, with a mission to empower children to be critical thinkers and creative problem solvers. We are looking for passionate educators to join our team in the upcoming 2021-2022 school year.

This position is perfect for an individual who has experience working in NYC public schools or teaching Elementary or Middle school, and is passionate about building a warm and inclusive classroom environment for all learners. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Delivering instruction to a class of up to 26 students, and/or to a small group of students
• Using assessment data to drive instruction and ensure student mastery of standards
• Differentiating instruction to provide access for all learners
• Collaborating with stakeholders to prepare teacher reports for use during IEP meetings
• Actively participating in team and staff meetings, professional development and training sessions

• Adhering to deadlines, dress code and school policies

The right candidate will have:

• Full-time teaching experience and a demonstrated track record of propelling students’ academic growth and mastery
• Strong instructional and classroom management skills
• An unwavering belief that all students can achieve at high levels
• A high level of personal organization and planning
• Be passionate about urban education and closing the achievement gap
