Job Description:
The purpose of this position is to improve the reach of UTeach programs by contributing to planning and execution of effective communications and marketing strategies. This position requires the flexibility to understand the communications and publications needs of our variety of programs and audiences and the creativity to conceive of ways to meet those needs.

Job Details:
Responsibilities
Analyze audience needs to inform creation, quality, and engagement with UTeachs mission and work.
Produce a variety of print and online publications, which will require writing, editing, and updating content for websites, brochures, flyers, newsletters, and other publications.
Develop and manage a rich social media presence for UTeachs programs.
Develop member-only resources for the national UTeach expansion effort.
Collaborate with staff to produce conference programming and media.
Participate in writing, editing, and designing grant applications and reports.
Participate in processes and activities designed to establish organizational culture that supports learning, collaboration, and collective responsibility to enhance professional relationships, job satisfaction, and organizational effectiveness.
Perform related functions as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in a relevant field.
Commitment to inclusivity and culturally competent communication.
Experience writing and editing content for online publications, including blog posts, social media, and websites.
Experience running professional social media accounts including Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
Experience writing and editing content for brochures, flyers, newsletters, presentations, etc.
Experience working with writers to create or shape content.
Expert knowledge of English grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation.
Experience in editing, copy editing, and proofreading.
Ability to set priorities and multi-task.
Ability to work collaboratively or independently with minimal supervision.
Experience managing and organizing small projects.
Proficiency using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing and laying out publications.
Experience editing research articles and/or curriculum.
Experience collecting and analyzing social media and website engagement data and making recommendations for increasing engagement.
Experience building or editing courses in learning managements systems (i.e., Canvas, Blackboard).
Experience editing video.
Salary Range
$60,000 + depending on qualifications
Working Conditions
Will work with standard office equipment
Department office is located on a floor with active teaching labs, that contains chemical and biological agent
