Laboratory Equipment Manager – Cambridge, Massachusetts
Position Summary:
This is your opportunity to use your service management and relationship building experience to become a key member of the North America Unity Lab Services (ULS) team. In this role you will serve as the primary on-site Laboratory Equipment Resource for a key customer account, providing day to day instrument management, support, and guidance to meet the ULS and Customer objectives. The successful candidate achieves a high level of customer satisfaction, account growth & profitability through their own actions, the dedicated account team and North American ULS resources.
Crucial Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain positive and professional working relationships with clients, service vendors and Thermo Fisher staff.
• Lead site operations in accordance with terms and conditions of program contract and Statement of Work.
• Responsible for account performance and customer metrics and create action plans and tracking mechanisms to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure that all compliance and regulatory guidelines are met specific to asset management and services program to include all facets of inventory management through provided tools.
• Responsible for accurate data input to Resource Center database to include service requests, work order information.
• Scheduled repair and PM service calls with vendor and customer.
• Escort vendors for service events to and from equipment.
• Owns problem resolution and customer concern at account.
• Supervise all laboratory equipment service activities and issues including, timeliness, accuracy, and quality of the events.
• Identify cost saving initiatives
• Resolve service or billing issues, questions, or credits.
• Acquire and review field service s for accuracy and completeness.
• Hold monthly department meeting with customers.
• Search and provide alternate methods of service in alignment with account strategy and promote alternate service providers.
• Participates in business reviews to clients
• Performs other duties as the need arises

• 
  Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
• Associates degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelors preferred.
• 3-5 years of Tried experience in one or more of the following areas: Life Sciences, Healthcare, Biomedical or related field.
• 3 years of previous account and/or project management experience preferred.
• Preferred Lab operations, field service experience (technical) or strong service knowledge.
• Experienced in achieving customer dedication and growing customer base.

Physical/Environmental requirements:

• Physical Activity: Walking, sitting, standing, kneeling, crouching, lifting, PC work, repetitive motions, feeling, grasping, pulling, pushing, and hearing.
• Level of Physical Requirements: Light to medium work.
• Level of Visual Acuity: Clerical, professional, administrative.
• Environmental Conditions: Inside environmental conditions (office, labs, facilities) which consist of noise, and hazards.
• Required to travel by airplane and automobile for meetings and training as vital.
