Position Title: Logistics Manager

Reporting To: VP of Portfolio Integration

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Logistics Manager plans, organizes, and monitors receiving, inventory, and shipping operations for the Company. The Logistics Manager oversees the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing, and dispatch of a wide variety of products while ensuring productivity targets are achieved and the operation is run in an effective and efficient manner to satisfy internal and external customer requirements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Strategy / Management
• Create 2021 and future years logistics strategy which aligns to company growth and scale
• Create resource roadmaps to scale based on potential volume increases
• Review other opportunities to give our customers inspiration / empowerment in the logistics operations
• Devise ways to optimize inventory control
• Collaborate with all departments to enhance quality of service to customers with special focus to on-time delivery and product quality
• Manage warehouse layout to ensure efficient space utilization, safe and easy transport, and storage of materials to optimize operations
• Update / create SOP for all levels of operation

• Shipping Vendors
• Evaluate vendor services and contracts regularly to achieve cost-effective solutions to support system scaled growth plan and maintain relationships
• Develop logistics strategy to decrease shipping time to customer

• Technology
• ShipHero
• Understand WMS systems capabilities
• Become the go to for other teams and address questions

• Norway
• Understand and manage the middleware system for Put’s / Picks and inventory management
• Work with management on enhancements needed to Norway for better efficiencies in logistics operations

• OPEX / Perfect pick
• Become a Super User of the system
• Understand how to:
• Replenish
• Pick
• Cycle count
• Consolidate

• Complete training on how to repair system. This will include being certified to use a scissor lift

• Receiving / Replenishment
• Review outstanding PO’s and work with merchant team on priorities for receipt
• Manage inbound inventory
• Including but not limited to:
• Correct quantity
• Quality control
• Manage variances

• Work with buyers to assist in resolving supplier issues

• Resolves discrepancies with accounting regarding invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports.
• Manage OPEX / Perfect Pick for Put’s (replenishment) per process

• Pick / Pack / Ship
• Manage all orders and resolve issues with orders / inventory
• Ensure pick operations are running effectively
• Responsible for the security and accountability of all materials, whether incoming, stored on-site or outgoing to customers.
• Responsible for troubleshooting shipping errors related to address information, label printing, etc.
• Responsible for troubleshooting shipping automation system, auto bagger, printers, and shipping errors as needed

• Inventory Management
• Reports on inventory levels, supply chain progress, procedural efficiency
• Conduct periodic inventory cycle counts to ensure accuracy

• Employee management
• Recruit, select, trains new staff on warehouse duties i.e., receiving, replenishment, picks, packaging, supply ordering, etc.
• Manage employee schedules, timecards, deliverables, weekly goals to optimize operations
• Manage user safety compliance and training
• Perform reviews as well as create disciplinary actions if needed
• Ensure all Safety and CDC Regulations are met daily

• Reporting
• Create KPI’s in department to include but not limited to:
• Orders shipped per day
• Cost per order shipped
• PO’s received
• Dock to Stock reporting
• Inventory discrepancies

• Create report for shipping accuracy

• Other tasks as required by management

COVID-19 considerations:
To help ensure the safety of our employees, their families, and our customers we have staggered our shifts to limit the number of people in the warehouse at any given time. We have also just completed the installation of an automated picking system.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Logistics: 1 year (Preferred)
• Microsoft Office: 2 years (Preferred)
