Thrive Pet Healthcare Hiring for Benefits Specialist (Austin, TX or remote) at Remote Full Time

The Benefits Specialist is responsible for assisting with the administration of all benefits, paid time off, retirement, and leave of absence programs for over 10,000 Thrive Pet Healthcare employees nationwide. The Benefits Specialist will play a critical role in educating and helping employees on a day-to-day basis with all benefits and leave of absence related inquiries. This includes medical, dental, vision, HSA/FSA, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, 401(k), as well as all ancillary plans, including EAP, student loan support, family care and fertility benefits. The Benefits Specialist will also be responsible for assisting with workers’ compensation and leave of absence administration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a day-to-day contact for employees and managers for all benefits-related questions.
• Responsible for all tier 1 requests into the benefits ticketing system, our management system for all inquiries to the Benefits team.
• Assist with the administration of all leave of absence requests, including fielding employee and manager questions about the process and completing requests from our third-party leave of absence vendor.
• Educate employees and managers about benefits eligibility, enrollment process, and overall benefits package.
• Assist employees with benefits claim issues.
• Process qualifying life events and any other mid-year benefits changes for employees.
• Provide copies of ID cards, plan documents or any other materials to employees upon request.
• Respond to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollment and plan provisions, including the employer match.
• Assist with the open enrollment process.

• Communicate with employees regarding all time off policies, including paid time off, parental leave, and holidays.

Pay: $25.00 – $27.00 per hour
