Your job entails being assigned to a few clients at a time and managing their finances with help from a dedicated bookkeeping team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas. It is essential that this candidate brings analytical and organizational skills in order to best support the accounting team. This Staff Accountant will also oversee all accounting procedures and instruct on general financial activities.

Responsibilities:
* You will be the account manager for 5 – 15 clients per month with help from the bookkeeping team
* Work closely with CFOs to understand and ensure accuracy of all financial reporting activity
* Prepare and distribute financial statements
* Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule
* Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports
* Develop and analyze reporting for business operations and budgets
* Inspect account books for efficiency and accuracy and audit QA/QC models
* Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
* Report analysis and findings to management team
* Occasionally meet with clients and discuss findings
* Assist with payroll and payroll entries for certain clients
* Assist with HR/Benefits Administration
* Assist with all finance reporting including budgets, forecasts and cash management reports
* Assist CFOs as needed to complete projects

Qualifications:
* Previous experience in accounting and bookkeeping a must
* A Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance
* A CPA or CPA-track preferred
* Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
* Advanced Experience with QBO and Excel
* Experience with Gusto preferred
* Detail and deadline-oriented
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
