The Position
The HR Generalist position will primarily be responsible for the daily functions of HR including employee relations, performance management, administering benefits, and leave, and enforcing policies and practices.

Responsibilities

• Dependable and trustworthy Human Resource partner for the organization.
• Ensures compliance with local, state and federal employment requirements such as wage and hour, required training including anti-harassment, job descriptions, employee handbook, and other Club policies.
• On-boarding and off-boarding including new hire orientation and exits.
• Own the employee lifecycle administration (new hires, changes, updates, LOA and terminations), completion of forms, tracking information including PTO, data entry and record-keeping. Ensure that personnel files and records, including digital/electronic files, are maintained in accordance with all legal requirements.
• Employee relations including employee progressive counseling, disciplinary action, performance management, and conduct investigations as needed.
• Own the annual performance review process.
• Oversees timely recruitment of new employees, working closely with hiring manager/supervisor. Assist with posting open positions. Help ensure an excellent candidate experience.
• Participate in the Culture Action Team committee. Support HR programs, such as employee recognition, referral plan, employee education and others.
• Benefits administration including broker and vendor maanagemenet, cost analysis, open enrollment. Complete benefits audits and plan testing. Process employment verifications and federal and state agency requests.
• Works with GM and AGM to plan and implement all-staff meetings and social activities
• Other general and administrative projects as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Management, or related field with 3+ years of comparable experience.
• Professionalism, understands the need for confidentiality ad good decision-making with problem-solving abilities. A focus on respectful and professional collaboration and cooperation across departments.
• Disciplined self-starter with a strong work ethic. Willingness to work hard to accomplish difficult goals Good analytic skills and ability to make evidence-based decisions.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills in English (Spanish a plus).
• Proficiency with MicroSoft Office Suite with advance knowledge of Word and Excel.
• Attention to detail with excellent administrative and organizational skills.
• Excellent time and priority management skills. Ability to successfully manage projects from conception to completion. Ability to prioritize projects, work independently, meet deadlines, manage several projects simultaneously and work well under pressure.
• Ability to control unusual situations as they arise without escalating.
• Positive influence on a team with a good attitude. Cooperative, friendly, and helpful approach with members and co-workers.
