The objective of the Employee Relations Specialist is to support program management in meeting staffing requirements. The Employee Relations Specialist will support with interviewing and onboarding candidates and with staff demobilizations. The Employee Relations Specialist will coordinate with the Training Manager to ensure that new staff members receive training.
The Employee Relations Specialist is also responsible for fielding questions from employees and evaluating feedback subsequent to trainings. The Employee Relations Specialist Manager will also respond to internal staff questions and concerns about the workplace.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Specific duties may include:
Document and maintain employee records.
Support with coordination and logistics for interviewing and onboarding candidates.
Assist with the staff demobilization process.
Coordinate training of newly onboarded staff with the programs Training Manager.
Incorporate feedback from training evaluations into future training materials.
Ensure absolute confidentiality of work-related issues and uphold data integrity policies.
Assist management in establishing performance objectives and provide ongoing feedback.
Excellent written and verbal communication to support management with performance and incident reports.
Present training ideas and coordinate with management and staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products, specifically Microsoft Excel for staff tracking tools and other HR related reports.
Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Required Education and Experience:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; AND,
3+ years in human resources or related fields
Proficient in MS Office Suite
Experience with federally funded housing programs a plus
