Timberlake Christian Preschool is growing!!!
We are looking for Substitute Teachers for our preschool program with ages ranging from 2 years to 5 years old.
Requirements:
Substitutes may be employed to assist in program and curriculum under the direction of a lead teacher or higher.
Substitutes must have the understanding, ability, physical health, emotional stability and good judgment to meet the needs of the children in care.
Substitutes must:
(a) Be eighteen years of age or older;
(b) Have a TB test as required under WAC 170-297-1750;
(c) Have a background clearance as required under chapter 170-06 WAC;
(d) Have current CPR and first-aid training as required under WAC 170-297-1825;
(e) Complete HIV/AIDS training and annual bloodborne pathogens training as required under WAC 170-297-1850;
(f) Have a food worker card, if applicable; and
(g) Attend an agency orientation as required under WAC 170-297-5800.
(6) Substitutes are counted in the staff-to-child ratio.
Substitutes must have acquired skills to provide nurturing care and support to all children, demonstrate skills and abilities to maintain friendly and successful communication with parents, and establish successful teamwork with other teaching staff. Assistant Teachers must be able to maintain classroom cleanliness and organization, adherence and compliance with expected professional behaviors as required by school management.
Responsibilities:
Implement the lesson planned for the day.
Engage with the children.
Conduct assessments/observations and hold parent/teacher conferences.
Maintain a safe and happy environment for the children.

Compensation:
Salary is commensurate with experience and education.
