Timberline Construction Group, LLC Hiring For Staff Accountant at Pelham, AL Full Time

We are looking for a Construction Staff Accountant for our expanding company.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all client Contract and Change Order paperwork.
• Issue and reconcile all Contract, Change Orders, and Purchase Orders to subcontractors and vendors.
• Review/Approve/Code project expenses in our AP approval system.
• Oversee Subcontractor Pay Apps and review for accuracy, retainage, and lien releases.
• Maintain project budget information and compare actual cost to projections.
• Manage and enter project expense reports on a bi-weekly basis.
• Ensure all info related to projects has been entered accurately and timely into Unanet accounting software.
• Document all project level information into the project operations Access database daily.
• Maintain all required project trackers and reconcile for accuracy.
• Collect W9 and COI for all division vendors and subcontractors.
• Ensure up to date vendor files.
• Update and reconcile bi-weekly project performance reports against established budget.
• Assist with audit requests and ensure accurate records are kept for all Project and AP Ledgers.
• Own our Division project accounting and look for constant process improvement.
• Work daily with Project Admin, Project, and Division managers to provide insight into project performance.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Previous construction experience is highly desired but not required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Online 365.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online and other operating systems.
• Tech-savvy, Timberline is an integrated company and looking to utilize online platforms.
• Governmental accounting experience is preferred. Allowable and Unallowable cost experience.
• Detail and deadline-oriented
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
