Field Service Technician I – Seattle, WA
One (1) Year Contract assignment
Great opportunity to work for an international manufacturing firm in the dynamic transportation industry!
Position requires mechanical/electrical experience ideally with autos, trucks, trains, or heavy industrial equipment as well as common sense, a willing attitude and good work ethic.
Job Duties/Functions:
- Must be able to utilize portable test units and service terminal software proficiently in the field.
- Must do “hands-on” troubleshooting, to support the level of “Running Repair”.
- Travel is required as necessary. (More than 50-75% of time is spent with customers)
- Must be able to comply with quality, product safety, and HSE rules, guidelines, and regulations. Be energy conscious, if applicable.
- Must understand and comply with applicable standards. (i.e.: ISO 9001, ISO/TS 22163, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, and CMMI).
Technical Competencies:
- Technical Capacity (understanding of software and PTU’s at an operational level for troubleshooting purposes).
- Familiar with typical Transit Authority rules/regulations, technical specifications, and standard rail Industry workmanship requirements.
- Must be able to use electrical/electronic measurement tools (oscilloscopes, DMM, etc.) in the field with a basic technical knowledge.
Qualifications:
3-5 Years Relevant Experience in a field support environment (i.e., rail, automotive, marine, military ordinance, mining/heavy equipment, or aviation/avionics).
One Year (12 months) Contract Assignment.
Work schedule/Hours: 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. (Monday – Friday)
Pay Rate: $25.00/hour and up *Pay is commensurate with skills and experience
Travel in and around the Seattle area to customer sites is required.
