Job Description Summary
This position provides project support for a variety of Human Resources programs and processes. This position also provides general human resources support for staffing and on-boarding processes, learning and development, benefits administration, compliance, and other HR related functions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Plans, schedules, coordinates, and executes all new employee orientation periods (1 week welcome and onboarding period, average of once per month).
2. Works with third-party provider to process payroll on a bi-weekly basis. Maintains payroll records and ensures that all deductions and pay changes are made accurately and timely.
3. Keeps records of benefits plans participation, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
4. Act as technical resource for employees to address and resolve inquiries and problems relating to benefits, pay, employee relations, and company personnel policies.
5. Outreach to employee base concerning benefit enrollment periods; providing summaries, coordinating rollout meetings, answering questions, etc.
6. Processes all benefit enrollments, terminations, additions/subtractions online and follows up with carrier for changes.
7. Responds to all unemployment claims and short/long term disability claims.
8. Conducts ad hoc reporting as needed to support all business functions.
9. Participates in company and external surveys and reporting to gain access to compensation, benefit, and best practice data.
10. Other project work as assigned.
Skills/Abilities/Requirements/Experience:
1. Associates degree in Human Resources or bachelor’s degree in business related field (Human Resources preferred but not required).
2. Payroll experience preferred
3. High degree of confidentiality and accuracy
4. Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal and ability to comprehend a variety of instructions, both oral and written
6. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions finished in written or oral diagram form
7. Able to work 40-hour workweek.
8. Valid Driver’s License

7. Ability to drive a car
8. Regular lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
9. Ability to hear normal conversations on phone or in person
10. Ability to see more than 20 feet
11. Ability to see color and see/read computer screen
Work Environment
1. Work will be conducted in office and training center (same location)
2. Normal working hours of 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
