Responsibilities:
Formulates and recommends human resources goals and objectives in all areas of employee relations.
Develops, implements and monitors HR Companywide initiatives to ensure the effective management of employee relations and policy administration.
Gathers, analyzes and interprets employee relations data to identify trends, training opportunities, and systems.
Investigates team member concerns and complaints. Recommends course of action. Practices good communication processes to keep members of management supervisor and team members informed.
Facilitates training in distribution center relative to employee relations, benefits and other policy changes.
Provides counsel, coaching, and mentoring at all levels in the distribution center.
Responsible for our aspects of recruiting, hiring and onboarding new Team Members.
Manage and monitor goals and work performance of DC Human Resources Coordinator (DCs 2 HR Team members, where applicable)
Proactively and effectively manage job search for internal, external, exempt and nonexempt candidates by developing efficient and cost effective recruiting methods.
Provide information to hiring managers on the legal aspects of the process, and providing constant feedback to internal candidates through the entire application /interviewing process. Keep detailed records of hiring practices and results.
Ensures timely administration of performance appraisals and disciplinary procedures are followed.
Helps team members improve their performance as needed.
Adheres to all deadlines for distribution center processes.
Completes all training provided. Orientates new team members to the organization.
Acts a liaison for team member concerning issues with payroll, benefit concerns, worker’s compensation.
Meets all deadlines and responsive to timelines
Accepts responsibility and cooperates with managers, supervisors and coworkers.
May prepare and process a wide variety of reports as directed.
May perform other duties as assigned *
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related Business degree required
Minimum 3 years distribution, production, or manufacturing background
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Training/Systems
SPHR or PHR Certification preferred
Ability and proficiency in Microsoft Office Products.
Possess considerable knowledge of recruiting methods, employment laws, and regulations, relating to general human resources management.
Exposure to an HRIS. Kronos Time and Attendance and ADP Payroll/HRIS/ Recruiting systems preferred.
Flexible work schedule as needed for 3 shift operation.
Office environment is climate controlled environment. The distribution center is not climate controlled and position requires the ability to walk daily through the DC. Standing, sitting/working at a computer, occasional bending, reaching, light lifting.
Working Conditions
Individuals in this position will encounter ambient room temperatures, lighting, and traditional office equipment as found in any typical office environment. Individuals may need to sit at a desk or table for long periods of time; to speak clearly and carefully listen to customers; to reach over shoulder heights; crouch or stoop below the waist; repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement; occasional lifting up to 25 pounds; and lifting as required to file documents or store materials during the workday. Individuals in this position must be willing and able to travel frequently via automobile and airplane.
